South Africa is a place of freedom. Yet, for many women, freedom over our sensuality has always felt out of reach. Too often, we have been taught to feel guilty, embarrassed, or even silent about our sensual desires. Religion and society tell us to ignore our sexual needs and pretend to be pure, but deep down, we know the truth. We know that we are sensual beings with real needs. When those needs are denied, many women end up in unhealthy or risky situations and sexual encounters that hurt their bodies, hearts, and dignity. Engaging in risky encounters puts us at risk of contracting unwanted illnesses and losing respect from our loved ones. We know that many women carry deep wounds from abuse, trauma, abandonment, shame, or rejection. Our founders' stories reflect the pain so many South African women live with. Painful stories of rape and powerful resilience to healing and helping others to heal their wounds. At Sacred in Pink (SIP), we believe it’s time for a new chapter.

Thank you for joining the Sacred in Pink movement.

Why SIP Matters

Sex Toys in 2025

In 2025, sensual products are still seen as taboo in South Africa.

But studies indicate that more women are turning to safer, healthier ways of experiencing intimacy. Even mainstream retailers are beginning to stock these products.

This proves that you are not alone in your curiosity or your desire to touch yourself.

Our Mission

At SIP, we are creating a movement that:

  1. Builds a culture of safe, healthy intimacy in South Africa.

  2. Helps women explore their bodies, communicate their desires to their partners, and stop faking orgasm.

  3. Restores sexual power and choice to women who have long been denied both.

  4. Challenges the harmful myth that self-pleasure is dirty, shameful, or promiscuous.

  5. Reduces risk, secrecy, and shame by offering safe, responsible ways to satisfy your real needs.
